This large-scale project presented numerous challenges owing to the restricted access to both the building and indeed the local area.
Much of the works were subject to extensive Party Wall oversight and had to comply with local Planning and Conservation Area permissions.
In addition, the works required a details phased approach in keeping with the Client’s requirements both as to major structural changes and later design specifications.
Highlights:
- Underpinning of whole rear section of building and deep garden walls to create a new basement area and raised patio area
- Removal of existing roof and construction of new Mansard roof
- Alteration of basement vaults to house new heating system
- New internal wall layouts (Structural), New windows throughout
- Full replacement of all services (Electrical, Gas, Ventilation, Drainage, Heating and Water supply (pressurised accumulator system). Installation of full AV system
- Installation of full wet underfloor heating system and new re-claimed flooring (including bespoke preparation and finish) throughout
- Full plastering and decoration
